Remove ZulaGames

What is ZulaGames
ZulaGames is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) falling into the adware classification. The program is advertised as an extension for finding and playing online games, but in reality it will make unwanted changes to your browser and show you ads. It’s not a malicious program, but it’s not entirely harmless either. Not to mention that’s it’s also annoying. You will constantly be seeing ads ranging from banners to pop-ups. Adware generated ads are not always safe, which is why you should avoid interacting with any ads while adware is still installed.
Since this is advertised as a gaming extension, it’s possible you installed it yourself. However, it’s more likely that you installed it unintentionally. It was probably attached to some free program you installed, and you did not notice. Offers attached to freeware are generally hidden unless users opt for certain settings, which is why these kinds of infections are so common. We will explain how you can avoid installing unwanted programs in the following section of the report.
Keeping the extension might not be the best idea, as it could be putting your computer in danger. We suggest you delete ZulaGames.
How did ZulaGames install?
Freeware bundles is how most unwanted programs install. They come attached to free software as extra offers, and if users do not deselect those offers, they will be authorized to install. The offers are preselected by default and are hidden, which makes software bundling a rather sneaky method to spread programs. Programs using this method to install are generally classified as potentially unwanted.
If you choose Advanced or Custom settings when given the option, all added offers will become visible. You will have the option of deselecting the offers. All you really need to do is uncheck the boxes. Since most programs will have items attached to them, we suggest you always pay attention to what you install and how you do it. Otherwise, your computer will quickly fill up with junk.
What does adware do?
ZulaGames is advertised as a useful extension to either play online games or download them onto the computer. The adware makes changes to your Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers and sets a different homepage/new tabs without your permission. In addition to these changes, ZulaGames will also display advertisements as you browse. You will encounter banner ads, pop-ups and pop-under adverts. The latter two can be particularly annoying because they appear out of where.
Users who have adware installed are advised to avoid interacting with advertisements. Adware does not check whether the ads are safe before they are shown to you, and they tend to show less than reliable content. Clicking on the wrong ad could lead to a serious computer infection.
The adware will also track you as you browse, collecting information about what you search for, what sites you visit, what content you click on, your geographical location, etc. The information would be used to generate more relevant ads, or shared with unfamiliar third-parties.
