Remove Omiga Plus

What is Omiga Plus
Omiga Plus s a fake search engine that falls into the browser hijacker category. It installs without your explicit permission and makes unwanted changes to your browsers. If you notice that you are constantly redirected to isearch.omiga-plus.com, the hijacker has set it as your homepage. It aims to redirect you to sponsored websites, which is why the your new homepage has a search engine box. Using it may not be the idea as you could be exposed to unsafe websites.
Omiga Plus is attached to free software in a way that allows it to install alongside the freeware. Freeware bundling is how most hijackers, adware and other unwanted programs spread. Read the next section of the report to find out how you can prevent these unwanted installations.
Browser hijackers are not considered to be very dangerous infections, as they do not harm the computer directly. Nevertheless, it’s important that you uninstall Omiga Plus from your computer. It’s not only able to expose you to unsafe content but also tracks you as your browse.
How does the hijacker spread?
Browser hijackers, adware and potentially unwanted programs spread using freeware. It’s a popular method among unwanted program developers as it allows their programs to install without requiring users’ explicit permission. It’s a popular method because users still have the habit of using Default settings when installing freeware.
To avoid installing unwanted offers, you need to use Advanced (Custom) settings during the installation process. Those settings will make all offers visible and you will have the option of deselecting them. Deselecting all of the offers is recommended because none of them will actually be useful. They also tried to sneak into your computer, which should not be acceptable behaviour.
What does the hijacker do?
Browser hijackers exist to generate traffic for certain websites. And they do that by infecting computers and making changes to browser’s settings. They can affect all popular browsers, like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. This hijacker will change your homepage to isearch.omiga-plus.com and redirect you there every time you open your browser. These changes are performed without your explicit permission, which is not acceptable behaviour.
The website is promoting a questionable search engine, which would try to redirect you to sponsored websites. Links to those sites will be inserted into your search results, and avoiding them could be tricky. Some of those sites could expose you to dangerous content, such as malware and scams. Most of those sites you’ll be led to will have little to do with what you were searching for anyway.
Browser hijackers are known to collect information about users, such as what sites they visit, what they search for, what content they engage with, where they are located, etc.
