What is WebSpades?
WebSpades is yet another ad-supported program that is presented as something it is not. Although the developers of WebSpades claim that their aim is to provide you with relevant data that you will be able to use while shopping online, the fact of the matter is you will only have your browser filled with commercial adverts that you will not be able to use. WebSpades does not hold responsibility for the content of the advertisements which means they can easily be false.
As there are no valuable features that would make you want to keep this adware you should delete WebSpades from your computer.
How does WebSpades work?
There really is not much to an ad-supported program like WebSpades or any other adware application. The developers of the program make profit by displaying various ads, pop-ups, sponsored links, banners, in-text ads and so on in your browsers. These commercials will appear everywhere you go and as WebSpades is compatible with all browsers you will not be able to avoid them even if you change your default one. The adverts may seem useful, but you cannot be sure that the information presented in them is indeed truthful. You may thus become a victim of a virtual scam or download a malicious program onto your PC. Therefore we do not recommend clicking on any of the adverts until you eliminate WebSpades from your computer system.
There are many applications similar to WebSpades like BrowseMark, LinkiDoo, Surftastic and more. All of these programs have the same distribution method called bundling. When you download and install a freeware program be sure to check if that is all you are installing. Freeware and shareware programs are known to come together with all sorts of unwanted applications like adware or browser hijackers. Next time you install free software choose Advanced Installation and deselect all programs that are unfamiliar to you.
How to remove WebSpades from my PC?
Fortunately, adware programs are not malicious and you can uninstall WebSpades via Control Panel (manually). Full instructions on how to do that are provided below. However, if you want to delete WebSpades and keep your PC protected from similar online threats you should download and install a malware prevention and removal tool.
