What is Tinywallet?
Tinywallet is an adware application that is responsible for the various ads, pop-ups and banners that you see in your browsers. The program has an official website that presents it as a tool that can “offer you suitable coupons and discounts whilst you are shopping”. Unfortunately, that is not exactly true.
The application does not provide you with useful data, but rather promotes its associated sites no matter which page you are on. As there is no download link on the official site, it is safe to assume that the adware is distributed via bundled downloads. Which means that you most probably never wanted it in the first place. You should delete Tinywallet as soon as you can.
How does Tinywallet work?
Tinywallet is very similar to other adware programs like SaveNShop, TicTacCoupon, RightCoupon and some other applications that all belong to the same group of adware that is based on JustPlugIt engine. Tinywallet fills your browsers with pop-ups, in-text ads, banners, pop-unders, video ads and so on. You will not be able to browse the Web without running into some kind of an advert. What is worse, however, is that the adware does not review the ads that it presents you with which means that they can be fake. If you click on a corrupted link, you will infect your system with malware. You should also stay away from various suspicious surveys and lotteries. These can be used to get access to your personal details.
As it has already been mentioned, Tinywallet travels bundled with freeware. It is distributed via InstallRex, Amonetize and Vitalia installers that are used on third-party software hosting websites. When you download software from these sites, you should be extremely careful. During the installation process you will be offered additional applications that are usually potentially unwanted and if you skip through the installation steps, you will unwittingly agree to install them. In order to prevent that, choose Advanced installation option and decline all additional offers.
How to remove Tinywallet from my PC?
If you want to eliminate Tinywallet ads from your browsers, you will have to uninstall the adware from your system. Fortunately, that is not difficult to do. You can terminate Tinywallet via Control Panel. Instructions on how to do that are provided below. Alternatively, you can download an anti-malware utility that will help you with your problem.
