What is Quick Start?
Quick Start is a potentially unwanted application that comes bundled with other programs. The browser plugin arrives with such browser hijackers as qone8.com, awesomehp.com, websearches.com, key-find.com and sweet-page.com. It is also known to come bundled with a web browser called TrustedWeb and is available at Google Chrome web store.
Quick Start is rather similar to other browser extensions like SupTab and IETabpage Class. The add-on is compatible with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. If you want to return your browsers back to normal and delete Quick Start from your system, you will also have to delete the program that it came bundled with.
How does Quick Start work?
Quick Start allows you to access various websites like social networking webpages, online gaming sites, weather forecasts and so on. Every time you open a new tab, you will see these links appear on your screen. Although some of the links could be absolutely safe, you are also not protected from links that lead to potentially harmful webpages. In fact, Quick Start does not overview the ads and links that it presents you with which means that you could be exposed to malicious and false data. The application also provides you with a search engine. If you use it on Chrome, you will be redirected to searches.safehomepage.com/search/web?fcoid=417&q/. If, on the other hand, you are using Mozilla, it will redirect you to mystart.viview.com/web?go=1&q=.
If Quick Start has entered your system together with TrustebWeb browser, then you must also have other potentially unwanted programs installed. TrustedWeb contains Free Smileys and Emoticons, General Crawler, Charm Saving, TrustedShopper and Conduit search engine. If, however, you acquired Quick Start together with one of the above mentioned browser hijackers, you should keep in mind that they not only modify your browser settings, but also track your cookies and display fake adverts on your screen. You should not hesitate to delete Quick Start and all programs that arrived with it.
How to remove Quick Start?
The easiest and most reliable solution to Quick Start removal would be to download and install an anti-spyware tool. The software will scan your system, detect all potentially unwanted applications and terminate Quick Start along with them. You will not have to worry about any unnecessary files being left behind.
