What is GrooveDock?
GrooveDock is an adware program that is promoted as a browser add-on. It claims to help you receive various coupons and ads that will be useful to you. The promotion may turn out to be less than truthful as you will be noticing the advertisements in all your browsers whether you want it or not. There is very little use of any adware program. Although they are not harmful themselves they can be quite bothersome. GrooveDock usually comes bundled with other free software, but it can also be downloaded at its official website groovedock.net.
It is very similar to other adware programs such as GreyGray, LinkiDoo and many more. If you have accidentally installed the adware on your PC you should remove GrooveDock with a malware removal tool.
How does GrooveDock work?
It is not hard to guess that the main purpose of any adware is to display as many advertisements as possible. So get ready to see banners, pop-ups, sponsored links and other types of ads in all of your browsers. It does not matter if the ad has anything to do with your interests or not you will still see it. After a while, however, you will start noticing more and more ads that are actually very much related to your searches. That is because GrooveDock has started to monitor your online behavior and now generates personalized ads to increase their chances of you actually clicking on the link. Every time you do you make profit for the developers of the so-called browser helper.
That, however, is not the worst of it. Some of the ads and links presented by GrooveDock may not be safe. If you get redirected to a corrupted website you may get infected by a malicious program. GrooveDock itself will not be responsible for that as it does not endorse any of the pages it promotes. Therefore we do not recommend clicking on any of the adverts provided to you by GrooveDock. What you should do instead is delete GrooveDock altogether.
How to uninstall GrooveDock?
If you wish to remove the unwanted adware you can use a malware removal tool (e.g. Spyhunter) that will detect and terminate GrooveDock. It will also scan the system for other threats and erase them should there be any. Another advantage of having an anti-malware program on your PC is that you can surf the web safely. If, however, you choose manual GrooveDock removal you can use the instructions which are provided below. Please note that it is advisable to scan your computer with a malware scanner to make sure that you have successfully eliminated GrooveDock.
